Lane Johnson among NJCAA alumni named to 2025 NFL Pro Bowl

New York City, NY — The NFL announced the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games players for the AFC and NFC. The Pro Bowl Games will occurred Feb. 2, and three former NJCAA student-athletes have earned this distinct honor. One of the players selected was former KC football player Lane Johnson.

Lane Johnson attended Kilgore (TX) College and played quarterback and tight end for the Rangers. He transferred to Oklahoma and was the practice squad quarterback during a redshirt season. He switched to a tight end and a defensive end in the fall of 2010. After some injuries on the offensive line, Johnson made the switch, and his career changed forever. He became a staple on the Sooners offensive line and was named a third-team All-American by CBS Sports his senior season. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Johnson with the fourth overall pick in 2013. Throughout his NFL career, Johnson has been named First-Team All-Pro twice, Second-Team All-Pro three times, a six-time pro bowler, and was a member of the Eagles Super Bowl LII team.
